My Happy Laughing Buddha design was inspired by the many temples I have visited over the years, and the joyful little Buddhas I have found within them - I love their smiley faces and rounded bellies. I added a local HK temple to the background, and the photo of pretty pink Lotus votive candles was taken by my Father on his travels through Asia. The row of Buddhas at the bottom of my design was found at the historical Tian Tan Big Buddha site on Lantau Island HK. The oranges are a symbol of good fortune, especially at Chinese New Year, and the old lantern depicts a ‘Welcome’ message.
